How We Improved Benefits Without Increasing Employer Costs

Challenge: A company offering Kaiser medical and dental plans wanted to improve benefits without raising costs.

Our Free Benefits Analysis Led to These Improvements:

More Health Plan Choices

🔹 Replaced the
Kaiser-only plan with a small group exchange, allowing employees to choose from five different health insurance companies while keeping Kaiser as an option.
🔹 The employer’s contribution was based on a
similar Kaiser plan, leading to cost savings on medical benefits.

Better Dental Coverage at Half the Cost

🔹 Switched from a
limited-network HMO dental plan to a small group specialty benefits exchange, cutting costs by 50%.
🔹 Employees could
upgrade to a PPO dental plan with more provider options.

Expanded Benefits at No Extra Cost
🔹 The new exchange included
vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and life insurance options—giving employees more choices while lowering employer costs.

Result: More benefits, lower costs, and happier employees!

HSAs are considered tax-advantaged for employees because contributions reduce their taxable income. This is true even if the money in the HSA account earns interest or investment returns over time.
